CANSA recognises this significance and, through its annual Shavathon campaign, invites South Africans to stand in solidarity with those for whom hair loss is one of the most visible and challenging effects of cancer treatment. Shavathon events will take place at selected malls on 28 February and 1 March 2026 across South Africa under the campaign banner – ‘Be Courageous’. However Community, school, family, and workplace events may be hosted throughout the year. Every action — big or small can impact and make the cancer experience less devastating… #ShaveSA

This year sees the Hair’s Angels led by Tina Traill, coming together again in Fourways to raise funds for the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA) annual Shavathon. It’s been 10 years since Traill and her team first took on the Shavathon challenge and this year will see them doing it again but on a much larger scale… #ShaveSA

Die Kankervereniging van Suid-Afrika (KANSA) is opgewonde om die 23ste jaarlikse KANSA Shavathon aan te kondig, wat op Saterdag, 1 Maart 2025 by uitgesoekte winkelsentrums regoor die land bekendgestel word. Die Shavathon sal regdeur Maart voortgaan met gemeenskaps- en werkplekgeleenthede om Suid-Afrikaners bymekaar te bring in ‘n gewaagde blyk van solidariteit met diegene wat deur kanker geraak word… #ShaveSA
