Our Online Fundraising Champions for 2014
We would like to thank all of our online fundraising activists – not just our winners – who participated in an individual or corporate capacity to raise funds online for CANSA. Every cent raised is important as, the funds you have raised will help CANSA to educate South Africans re screening & how to reduce cancer risk, as well as enable care & support to those affected by cancer. A big thank you to all those who made online donations in support of our activists!
- Our Individual Online Fundraising Activists brought in R76 420-00 via their online project pages and a further amount of R42 341-00 in terms of general online donations was received from the public.
- Our Corporate Online Fundraising Activists brought in R20 620-00 via their online project pages and a further amount of R33 060-00 in terms of general online donations was received from the public.
- Our Bail Out Fee Online Fundraising Activists brought in R1 620 via their online project page and a further amount of R4 050-00 in terms of general bail-out fees was received from the public.
- Unfortunately, only funds raised online via activist projects by midnight on the 31st March 2014 could be taken into account in order to determine our winners.
Individual Online Fundraising Activist Winners:
- 1st Place: Marc Houze – total amount raised: R22 000-00 via 16 online donors (funds raised for Shavathon via CANSA’s Marie Claire Kindest Cut Campaign fundraising project)
- 2nd Place: Danielle Baldwin – total amount raised: R11 440-00 via 31 donors & x2 fundraising pages: page 1 | page 2
- 3rd Place: Curtis Huysamen – total amount raised: R10 000 via 42 donors
- 4th Place: Fabian Louw – total amount raised: R7 100 via 28 donors & x2 fundraising pages: page 1 | page 2
Corporate Online Fundraising Activist Winner:
- ShowMe Plett – total amount raised: R13 130 via 25 donors & an additional R15 370 off-line – raised total of R28 500-00! (Funds raised for Shavathon via CANSA’s WC Southern Cape Klein Karoo fundraising project)
- A special prize was awarded to Christy Strever in recognition of her excellent promotion of her corporate online project for ShowMe Plett via Print & Social Media platforms.
