Someone being shaved at Group5 Kibali Mine in the DRC

Great fun was had by all and a lot of money was raised for this worthy cause. Both Rand Gold resources and DRA minerals have promised to double any funds the Group Five event raised for CANSA.

On Saturday the 2nd March 2013 the Kibali Mine in the DRC held their annual CANSA Shavathon and the day was attended by management from a number of contracting companies on site which included Rand Gold Resources, DRA Minerals, Shaft Sinkers, FFK, GPS and Burnecut.

Group Five Projects Boksburg, Grootegeluk Medupi Lephalale, Kibali DRC and NMPP TM2 Heidelberg sites took part in the 10th CANSA 2013 Shavathon with a total of 69 employees who were brave enough to be shaved or sprayed at Boksburg, 92 employees and contractors at the Kibali Mine and 67 employees at Grootegeluk Medupi with a total R11 400 donated to CANSA.
