Among our fantastic online fundraisers for Shavathon 2015 are The Hair’s Angels for CANSA, who are a team of 14 women who have shaved their heads bald in support of cancer Survivors and the CANSA Shavathon. They have raised a total of R65 860 * (R52 760 from 16 online donations & a further R2000 donation off-line, as well as a donation of R11 100 off-line from Nedbank)

Helene Welgemoed: This is for my seven yr old son, Joshua, who has leukemia. He was in ICU for 68 days fighting for his life. It’s now almost 68 days out of ICU and he is fighting strong. ShowMe Plett is Shavathon 2014’s Corporate Online Fundraising Champ, having raised R13 130 via 25 online donors & an additional R15 370 off-line – thus raising a total of R28 500-00 for CANSA! We would like to thank all of our online fundraising activists – not just our winners – who participated in an individual or corporate capacity to raise funds online for CANSA. Every cent raised is important as, the funds you have raised will help CANSA to educate South Africans re screening & how to reduce cancer risk, as well as enable care & support to those affected by cancer. Many of our online activists also shaved their heads and / or donated their hair to show solidarity with those affected by cancer…
